• There is parking for you and all your guests in the following places (please spread this word):
◦ The lot behind St. Mark’s which is marked as paid parking for City Parking but will be free for us from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday (best access from Colonial Ave.). It is plowed but like most parking lots, some ice mounds remain and will restrict parking a bit. We have no control over mother nature, but have cleared it as best as possible!
◦ The narrower lot that is at the corner of Arthur Ashe Boulevard and Patterson, next to the lawyer’s offices that are next to the church. That lot is also marked for City Parking but will be free for us from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday
◦ Anywhere on the city streets around St. Mark’s which is generally free, first-come-first-serve
◦ You or guests can also park in the paid lots of either of the museums next to St. Mark’s. The Virginia Museum of History and Culture offers parking on their surface lot (right next door to St. Mark’s, off of Kensington) for $5 for 4 hours ($1 per hour after) and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts parking deck offers parking for a flat rate of $6 for the full day. Both parking options are free for members of the VMHC and VMFA respectively and are open 24/7.
◦ The best entrance for you & guests to use is the office door entrance off the parking lot; there are a few steps up to the chancel or down to the parish hall and there is elevator access there as well. The main doors facing Arthur Ashe Boulevard (at the top of the chairs) Greeters will be available to help orient people.
