UPCOMING EVENTS

·      WEDNESDAYS during Lent, from FEB 25-March 25: Lenten Potluck 6:00pm, program 6:30pm, and Compline 7:15pm, all in Common Room

Join Rev. Daniel on Wednesday nights at 6:00pm for our 2026 Lenten pot-luck supper series! Our theme this year is the life and journeys of the twelve apostles. We will examine where each apostle is mentioned in the canonized scripture, paying close attention to their role in the Jesus movement, and how they lived out their calling to follow Christ. We will also look at church tradition and extra-biblical sources that will help us understand what may have happened to the apostles after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. A children's program on the lives of the Apostles will also be offered at the same time. We invite you and your family to be a part of our apostolic journey! Please bring a dish to share!

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

THANK YOU! Pohick Church's LCAC donations -- Since the beginning of the year, we have collected more than 1,600 pounds of food and essentials valued at about $3,150 for the Lorton Community Action Center.

·       Please log on to LCAC – Lorton Community Action Center to learn more about the volunteer and community work LCAC does.

·       Mark your calendars! Pohick Vacation Bible School, July 13-17, Ages 18 months-5th grade. The theme this year is Snowball Mountain Challenge! Click here to register!

·        It’s never too early to begin planning for this year’s Fair—our 80th! Mark your calendar for Saturday October 3, 2026. The organizing team is exploring sponsorship opportunities with local businesses at multiple levels. We are compiling a list of merchants within a three to five-mile radius of the parish to invite as potential sponsors. If you have suggestions for businesses we should approach, or if you would like to assist the Fair Committee, please contact Rick Church at rickandkristi@comcast.net

·     COMPUTER SCAM – Several parishioners received emails from a scammer purported to be from Rev Daniel from a bogus email account. Please do not respond to these suspicious emails. Pohick Staff, Vestry members, and Clergy would not reach out in this manner.

 ·       Volunteers are needed to stream our services to Facebook and YouTube. We now routinely stream many of our services and need to expand our streaming team. Anyone age 18 or older with some comfort using personal computers is welcome to join our small team for this fun and important ministry. We will teach you everything you need to know, but it's really not hard to do this. Please contact Chris Brown to volunteer (cbrown@pohick.org), or talk to him any time he's around, or stop in the church office when a service is being streamed and speak with whomever is streaming the service at that time.

FROM THE FINANCE OFFICE:

Frequently asked questions?

1.      Where are my envelopes?

2.      How can I make my offering to Pohick?

3.     I pledged, now what?"

4.     I don't remember how much I pledged?

  • Pohick is no longer purchasing pre-printed envelopes. Please use the generic ones in the pews or just drop your check in the collection bag.
  • Better yet, consider online giving through MyEOffering. It's easy, just go to our website and click the "Give" tab then scroll down to "MyEOffering".

-If you pledged a new amount for 2026, please be sure to make the adjustment by check or go to MyEOffering to make the necessary change. (I can assist with this.)

Your donation is not "automatically" increased. We can't touch your account. (You wouldn't want us to be able to do that!!)

  • October seems like a long time ago! Call me and I will be happy to let you know how much you pledged, and what the monthly amount would be.

I'm always here to help and would be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Julie Ramacciotti, Finance Administrator
