Dear Pohick Parishioners,

Due to inclement weather, both Sunday services, parish group meetings, and all church activities are cancelled beginning Sunday, January 25, through Tuesday, January 27. The parish office will be closed Monday and Tuesday and will reopen once a determination has been made that it is safe. Governor Spanberger has issued a state of emergency for the entire Commonwealth of Virginia and has asked that all travel during and immediately after the winter storm be restricted to emergencies only.

If there is a pastoral emergency, please contact me (Rev. Daniel) at 910-305-5976 or Rev. Ted at 202-486-0432.

Please join me Sunday morning at 10:30am on the Pohick Church Facebook page for a fire-side Morning Prayer service from the Rectory.

"Almighty God, we offer our prayers on behalf of all those who are in the path of the winter storm, and we pray for your protection and mercy. We remember especially the poor, the unhoused, and the vulnerable. We pray for safety for those whose profession requires them to be out in the elements; especially first responders, medical personnel, and linemen. May the one who calmed the storm give us peace and fortitude in the days ahead. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

Faithfully in Christ,

Rev. Daniel
