Christian Education, Children and Youth
Church School classes are from 9:15 to 10:15. Parents of preschool through fourth grade are asked to pick up their children at the door of the classrooms.
Children’s Chapel For preschoolers through 2nd grade is held in classroom D. Parents should drop off their children between 10:20 and 10:30 am. The children will join their parents in church during the Peace.

Sacred Space Sacred Time / Listening to God with Children
The traditional Nursery has been divided in half to create a Montessori environment for toddlers 18-36 months. The curriculum introduces the beauty and wonder of God and the church via weekly, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
Parents/grandparents/Guardians are welcome to join the class to enjoy their toddler learning and practicing in new ideas and activities OR to drop off their toddler to enjoy Adult Sunday School. REGISTER HERE

Church School
Pohick Church provides age-appropriate Church School for students age 18 months through high school. Church School meets from 9:15-10:15.The Church School’s curriculum includes:
• Grace Spaces: Serving toddlers 18-36 months with parents, grandparents. Teach toddlers the liturgical calendar through a Montessori approach. Adult participant required.
• Godly Play: Preschoolers (age 3) through First grade meet in Classroom E&F; Second through Fourth Grade meet in Classroom A&B. Godly Play invites children to wonder about God, themselves, one another and the sacred world around them.
• Weaving God’s Promises: 5th – 8th grade students meet in Classroom C. Weaving God’s Promises weaves together scripture, church traditions and Christian living.
• Journey 2 Adulthood: 9th – 12th grade students meet in the Teen Trailer. Journey 2 Adulthood is inclusive, relational ministry that uses Bible study, prayer, and outreach ministries.
