Painting is ongoing in most spaces in the lower level. It will continue for several more days. Any scheduled events should be aware of this. Please avoid entering the spaces over the next few days. Common Room door will be unlocked and accessible to the painting crew only. Please enter the Parish House through the Main Or East doors. We anticipate the work to be completed before next weekend. · 9:15am-10am: For parents with children under 36 months of age who wish to attend our summer adult forums and are in need of the Nursery: please contact the office in advance so we can arrange for the nursery to be open earlier, and an attendant to be on site.
· 9:15am-10:15 am: Summer Children's Sunday School: For parents who wish to attend our summer adult forums, Pohick Church will be offering a summer Sunday School program for children. This will be a combined class of children ages 4-12 and will meet in Classroom A. All children are welcome to attend!
· 10am-12pm: The Nursery will be open and an attendant will be on site. Because of painting, Access to the Nursery will be through the side door.
· 10:20 am: Children’s Bible Storytelling is for preschoolers through 2nd grade. It will be held in classroom D. Parents should drop off their children at 10:20 am. The children will join their parents in church after the Peace.
· NO EYC Sunday. Shrine Mont weekend

· JULY 18, 2pm: Annual event honoring Pohick Church for the 252nd anniversary of the signing of the Fairfax Resolves document. This event is a church, Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored event. The inside ceremony is about one hour starting at 2:00 PM, with speakers and a color guard. Outside wreaths will be placed by the large bronze plaque to the right of the church. Event is open to all members and guests of the church.

· A special thank you to the Brotherhood for providing Pohick Church with Forward Day by Day quarterly issues. The latest issue, which includes daily reflections that follow the Bible verses, is available in the Parish House.
· The Pohick Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew invites all the men and youth of Pohick to attend any of our Saturday 8:00 am meetings for fellowship, breakfast, discussion of issues we are working on to support Pohick, and about 20 to 30 minutes of bible study.
· Volunteers needed for hosting Fellowship Coffee Hours—Coffee Hour is after both the 8 am and the 10:30 am Church services every Sunday. See the signup sheet in the Common Room for the details. · Docent tours! Guided Tours by members of the Docent Guild are available each Sunday after the 10:30 am service. Guided Tours are also available on the first Saturday of every month from 1 pm to 3 pm. Please meet the Docent at the Great Font for a tour. Self-guided tours are always available when the church is open, weekdays 9 am to 4 pm.
Healing Hearts: Grief Support Group
Have you been recently widowed?
Have you recently lost a family member or beloved friend?
Are you or someone in your inner circle coping with a difficult health diagnosis or treatment?
Pohick’s Healing Hearts grief support group offers a safe, confidential space that connects you with others who understand the range of emotions that you may experience as you process and integrate your loss and grief into day-to-day living.
Marleen McCabe is Healing Hearts facilitator. She is a member of the Trauma Incident Reduction Association and has received extensive training in the transformative power of grief, loss, and bereavement.
Healing Hearts meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 10:30 am to noon in Classroom C.
