Plans are underway for our Vacation Bible School Program, July 10-14. This year’s theme is Hero Hotline, Called Together to Serve God.  Hero Verse:  So let’s strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up (Roman 14:19). Mark your calendars for this fun filled week of stories, music, crafts, tasty snacks and recreation for children ages 3-12. Summer Choir Camp

  • Pohick will hold a weeklong, full day choir camp from July 31-August 4, hours are 9:00am-3:00pm with before and after care available. Special discounts available for Pohick members. This will be a fun filled week of singing and learning about music, outdoor activities, and special presentations including historical musical instruments, ethnic drumming, and theatrical music and movement. For more information see the music page at Summer Choir Camp, email dcatalanotto@pohick.org or call Dan, the minister of music, at 301-661-9294. 


The Robert and Bernice Kilmarx & Anne Powell Scholarship

The Robert and Bernice Kilmarx & Anne Powell Scholarship is now open to graduating high school seniors of 2023!  The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and assist the youth of Pohick Church by providing financial assistance for graduating seniors, encouraging the parish to continue to provide prayer and emotional support, and raising awareness of parish youth in post-secondary education. There are at least three recipients, with an award of $2000. Please apply to the following document. Submit your application, essay, and two letters of reference (by those who can speak to the evaluation characteristics below) to the church office – in attention to The Scholarship Committee by May 7. Awards will be given on youth Sunday, June 4th. We look forward to receiving applications!
