Apple Butter – A Cherished Pohick Tradition Returns!
The Apple Butter Committee is forming now and needs volunteers to help lead and participate in one of Pohick’s major fellowship events of the year. Volunteers are needed to lead and support all aspects of the effort, including overall coordination, ordering and picking up the apples, setting up (firewood, bricks, tarps, kettles, tables, jars, etc.), general operations (slicing, cooking/stirring, processing, and canning), cleaning up, and selling/advertising.

Set-up to clean-up is a 3-day operation involving dozens of people, usually Friday through Sunday in late September to early October, but the dates for this year have not yet been set.
