- The Apple Butter Committee has been hard at work coordinating the Pohick Apple Butter Weekend Festival, September 23-25. The making of Apple Butter has been a long-standing tradition at Pohick and an event for the entire Parish Family and Friends. Apple Butter weekend is all about good wholesome fun, fellowship, family, outreach, and working to make the best Apple Butter in Northern Virginia! Come join in the fun, fellowship, and help kick off the Pohick Church Year! - The Committee needs everyone’s help in making this another successful Outreach Event. Many hands make light work and we need volunteers to help: Signups for both events are in Parish Hall.
- Saturday Sept. 17: 9 am to 1 pm: Fairgrounds Setup: Need volunteers
- Wednesday Sept. 21, 730 am-430 pm: Pick up Apples at Hollenbaugh’s Orchard Biglerville PA.
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday Sept. 23-25: Apple Butter Weekend
- Friday Sept. 30, 1 pm to 7 pm: Final Fair Setup with some fellowship on the Fair Grounds
- Saturday Oct. 1, 8 am to 3 pm: Pohick Country Harvest Fair Day!
- HELP SUPPORT THE POHICK FAIR by donating fresh baked pies, cakes, cookies, jellies and jams to the Country Store. Baked goods should be individually wrapped or sealed in zip lock bags. Items can be dropped off in the Parish Hall kitchen Friday afternoon, Sept. 30, or at the Country Store booth the morning of the Fair, Sat. Oct 1.
