Dear Pohickians:

A Happy, Blessed New Year to you and your families!   As we begin 2022 with renewed hope, we must also do so with renewed caution for our most vulnerable. You have probably seen that every county in the Diocese of Virginia is now in the Red Zone for new cases and transmissibility.
Based on this data, diocesan recommendations received this morning, and counsel with our leadership, I have decided to cancel both in-person services on Sunday, January 2, and live-stream the 10:30 am Eucharist.

Since we will live-stream 10:30 Eucharist, we do need those scheduled to serve to be present this Sunday. Those scheduled to serve may also bring immediate family members to the 10:30 service. David Leahey will ask a few choir members to lead hymns during the service as well. To those who do attend, please wear masks and remain distanced, of course, as you sing. We will return to saying our prayer for spiritual communion.

We strongly encourage the rest of you to remain in the habit, discipline and “muscle memory” of participating in worship! Virtual worship will begin at 10:30, with the order of service emailed to you as always.

We will update you early next week about plans for January 9 worship. On that day, we will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. Due to virus transmissibility concerns, we will postpone baptisms usually scheduled for that Sunday to a later date, TBA.

Thank you for your patience and love. Again, a blessed New Year to you and you and yours!

In Christ’s Love,
Rev. Lynn+
The Reverend Dr. Lynn P. Ronaldi Rector
